Jobless ex-student sue’s her college

Monroe College
27 year old New York’er Trina Thompson has filed a lawsuit against Monroe College where she studied and attained a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology.

She is claiming that the college has not lived up to promises to assist graduates find work and is trying to recover the £42,000 ($70,000) she spent on tuition fee’s.

The BBC has quoted a college spokesman as saying:

“The college prides itself on the excellent career-development support that we provide to each of our students, and this case does not deserve further consideration,”

Personally i’m wondering at the moment what planet this woman is living on.. she paid for tuition with the ambition of achieving a degree. Last time i checked it was still a graduates responsibility to actually find a job once study was completed. ‘helping’ and ‘offering advice’ do not constitute a promise of never ending support and job interviews.

Unfortunately this seems to be another case of a modern human feeling it’s aways someone else’s job to do everything for them.

As for trying to claim all the tuition fee’s back because she is not able to get a job… that’s just infantile and laughable.
